Congratulations on getting listed - fantastic news I'm just getting ready to go to bed here in dear England but you still have lots of Friday left to go.

Have a lovely evening. I'm so thrilled you got listed. I pray that things will turn out right for all concerned.

I thought you might want to know that Asher (Happy) Bolte was born today at 2:30. His mom has a link to your blog on her blog. I know her family would appreciate you asking for prayer for their family, especially due to the poularity of your blog. They need all the support they can get as you well know!

I've been praying for the perfect set of lungs for her, and of course for the family of the donor.

CONGRATULATIONS! (is that appropriate?)

By the way....the newspaper article did a good job of condensing your story for the "novice" reader. She did a good job!

What wonderful news to hear, it is such a blessing! I will continue to keep Tricia and Gwyneth in my daily prayers!

@ annonymous...if I may....
I don't look at it like "praying for someone else to die" as much as I pray that a person who is going to die has made the decision to be a donor. People die every single day. We're ALL going to die. I pray we have all given a great deal of thought to the idea of being an organ donor and made our wishes clear. There are thousands like Tricia all over this country also waiting for a good match so they can have another shot at life. Praise God for those that have selflessly chosen to give life in the wake of their own death! Hallelujah!

This is a great way to end up our week.

One of my friends (a teacher who I've worked with for ten years) was a good match and donated a kidney for her husband last November. He is doing well and they are both happy.

This news about the transplant list is a blessing.

Is baby Gwyneth on the list to get new lungs too? Was just wondering if she was too little?

February 22, 2008 6:01 PM

Just to clear up this misunderstanding...

Baby Gwyneth is not getting new lungs. Her lungs are fine, just underdeveloped due to her premature birth, which is why she is receiving help for her breathing. And she does not have CF.
