Did I reach my goal of $9 from 99 people by 9pm? I'm certain I came close, but I won't know until tomorrow...find out at noon with me! And, if you're just tuning in and would like to donate, please read on!!!
9 is a very unique number...check this out...
Today is 9.9.9.
Wednesday, September 9, 2009.
Wednesday has 9 letters.
September has 9 letters.
It's the 252 day of the year...2 + 5 + 2 = 9.
The average life expectancy for a child born today with Cystic Fibrosis is 36 years...3 + 6 = 9.
A $9 donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation can make a huge difference in the lives of 30,000 children and adults in the US alone suffer from Cystic Fibrosis.
I'm looking for 99 people to donate $9 each by 9pm tonight (EST) to my Personal Great Strides Account. If we can accomplish this, raising $891, I will be sincerely grateful! Every penny goes directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and their search for a cure for CF. Please, if you haven't yet, consider Clicking Here and investing in those who are living for that hope.
And, if you would like to help me accomplish today's goal, feel free to link this blog post, or repost it on your twitter, facebook, blog, etc.
Thank you so much for helping to make our future bright!
Nate
BTW, did you know Tricia, a CF patient, and I had our very first date 9 years ago this week?

I will donate $9 in honor of my sweet Noah. Today was his due date. But instead of 9-9 he was born on 7-7. We miss him so much, but we are celebrating his life. I hope you get your 99 people to donate $9!!!
Thank you, Lisa. I'm honored by your generosity, especially on a day like today for you and your family.
And did you know if you add 891 together (8 + 9 + 1) that it equals 18. And if you add 18 together (1 + 8) it equals 9. :o)
:o)
Ooopps... my trigger finger misfired and I hit 9 twice! $99 in honor of Tricia and your wonderful family!
I will donate $9 for you in honor of our son, Carter, who was also saved by the wonderful people at Duke. In fact, Carter was supposed to have another surgery today, which was postponed because he's doing well. So, since 9/9/09 seems to be lucky for us, we'll share the good times.

Can people from the UK donate through that website ok?
Got my $9 in. What a great way to help out today!
As far as I know, anyone with a valid Credit Card can donate, but I'm not sure how that works across oceans. If not, you could donate to the UK CF Trust in our name!

You know, I've always said, "I wish I was in a position to donate, but our money is so tight." But I've realized lately that even $5 can make a big difference. I've also realized that if I'm spending our money wisely, I know that we will be okay. And this is a wise way to spend it. I donated $9...x2. God bless your family and all you do to help others.
I donated $9.
You missed one.
Also the the computer-animated film [9] opens today. I hear it should be pretty good... but be careful letting young kids watch it.
