Ahh, I didn't get a cool sticker! And today was my very first time voting. EVER!! No, it wasn't the first time I was able to vote, just the first time I felt the URGE to get out and vote!
less than an hour for our wait. now onto praying for our next leader, even if it wasn't who I voted for. He will still be our leader, and NEEDS our prayers. Praise God that HE reigns, no matter who wins!
I'm having a fun giveaway for a great cause on my blog. 4 (maybe 5) bed nets will be going to kids in Africa to prevent malaria and one (maybe 2) t-shirts will be given to the blog reader(s) that are picked. Come leave a comment before 7pm CST and enter to win! (And learn about malaria too!)
That pic is too funny Nate! :) No free Starbucks in Northern Virginia this morning and no KK or B and J near here either. But, voting is what counts right?
Your family is such an absolute awesome testament and PROOF that pro-life matters! And maybe your God-given journey has effected many who think life at 24 weeks (fetal dev.) should be up to the woman to decide whether a baby should and can live. Thanks for letting God use you! I know how I'm voting...pro-life!!!
I dont like coffee - I dont eat KK...and B&J is WAY too far for me to travel. . .AND my people didn't even get me a sticker! I got my little stub thats so boring! I'm going to steal someone's sticker.
We live in a tiny little town so there was no waiting for me. I took my 3 kiddos and let them "help" me vote. Such fun! ...and we all got stickers. :-)
Drive up to Va Beach ... we've got it all here ... plus you can get a free chicken sandwich at chick-fil-a, a drink from sonic, and a rose from some florist in Norfolk!
haha! I'm feeling the same way! We have B&J's and starbucks but not KK or chick-fil-a. A small complaint on the scale of things, I guess, after I was just allowed to help choose the next leaders of our country.
Interesting that you think coffee taste like dirt. Never thought of it but some coffee I have had in the past did taste like dirt. On a side note, I occasionally pick of coffee grinds from Sbucks for our compost pile. Which, eventually turns into dirt.
Thankfully, no long lines this morning here in Charlottesville especially since my five year old twins were with me! The kids were great so we headed out for free Ben & Jerry's later. That line was much longer!!
Just thought I'd share this with you. I have been following another blog for the last 2 months or more and thought you might be interested as well. It is http://kayleighannefreeman.blogspot.com/ She is a 4 month old, born at 26 weeks, weighing 1 lb 1 oz at birth. She just had heart surgery today and is doning very well. She is precious just like you Gwyneth and has fantastic parents as well, like you (Nate and Tricia). Please check out her blog and say a few extra prayers for Kayleigh tonight.
I did absentee last week so no sticker for me. I passed up donuts and coffee as I eat neither and Ben and Jerry's is in Detroit an hour and a half away. Sooooo I had a chance for free apple pie at a local deli-passed on that too. Came home to Twitter and Comedy Central. Since there isn't any good sports on to watch. See ya in the new tomorrow.
Guess I will rub in that I got 2 stickers for those readers who didn't even get one. I got an awesome one, kind of large that said I voted and it had my county and state on it.
My son got one like you have. He helped me put my ballot in the machine, and at age 7 that is a huge deal!
Too bad your sticker was so TINY!! Or maybe you're just bigger than Stellan, so your sticker LOOKS tiny. But man, I truly thought the big, round, red "I VOTED" stickers were nationally used. Guess not. But good for you, nonetheless.

ReplyDeleteGuess New Jersey doesn't give out stickers.
I had to ask for my sticker!
ReplyDeleteI got my sticker. Polls opened at 6:30 a.m. I got there at 7:03 and waited in line till 8:24 to vote. Big turn out!!
ReplyDeleteTake care

we have KK & S'bucks...thinking I may take a ride to town for a little sugar & caffeine rush.
ReplyDeleteOur Chick-fil-a is giving out a free sandwich if you're willing to turn over your sticker.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone noticed especially huge lines? People were parked down the street and around the corner.
ReplyDeleteI, having an especially crazy 3 yr old, voted via absentee ballot.
I'm praying today goes well. I love watching the new!
I didn't wait in line at all in my district, but I heard that other districts had very long lines. Hopefully, no one will decide not to vote.
ReplyDeleteI got the sticker and the coffee!

ReplyDeleteI'm trading my sticker in for a Chik-Fil-a sandwich. Yum.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a Chick-Fil-A here, so I didn't mention it in my last comment. =(
ReplyDeleteI hope the turn out is awesome! I'm glad I voted early because I would not have been able to stand long lines with two toddlers!
I dont like coffee - I dont eat KK...and B&J is WAY too far for me to travel. . .AND my people didn't even get me a sticker! I got my little stub thats so boring! I'm going to steal someone's sticker.
ReplyDeleteI voted too!
ReplyDeleteI am glad they just gave it to me... and I didn't have to ask for it. ToOdLeS.ShEiLA
didn't say what 'it' was.
ReplyDeletemy sticker.
ToOdLeS.Again.
I got 3 stickers (one for me, one for each of my toddlers).
ReplyDeleteIf you put enough cream and sugar in it, coffee doesn't taste so much like dirt...
We've got a SB and KK here, but I don't know if it's worth driving over there just to get a free coffee and donut (that I really don't need anyway).
In my 38 years of voting, I have never been given or offered a sticker. I guess PA is a poor state. :-)
ReplyDeleteNate, you look so sad. :( Voting is an important decision but you could "try" to smile. LOLOLOL
ReplyDeleteHope you get who you want.
No KK....how do you live? :)
ReplyDeleteI Voted this morning.I had to wait in line for in hour.I got a sticker to.I live in Chesapeake VA
ReplyDeleteThe only good coffee at Starbucks is all the fufu drinks...I can't stand their reg. brew...Yuck...no ice cream here either...
ReplyDeleteWe got no stickers and I even had my 2 year old with me =(
Wah. I want a sticker, too!
ReplyDeleteMe too, and I got a sticker as well...
ReplyDeleteI take offense to the coffee comment, though... There isn't a more wonderful beverage in the world. :)
God's peace to you all

ReplyDeleteI got my sticker, my Starbucks and now we wait....
ReplyDeleteIn Oklahoma you can get free chicken strips at Chick-Fil-A!!!!
ReplyDeleteDrive up to Va Beach ... we've got it all here ... plus you can get a free chicken sandwich at chick-fil-a, a drink from sonic, and a rose from some florist in Norfolk!
ReplyDeleteI voted but we don't have a starbucks here where I would take advantage of free coffee!
ReplyDeletehaha! I'm feeling the same way! We have B&J's and starbucks but not KK or chick-fil-a.
ReplyDeleteA small complaint on the scale of things, I guess, after I was just allowed to help choose the next leaders of our country.

ReplyDeleteInteresting that you think coffee taste like dirt. Never thought of it but some coffee I have had in the past did taste like dirt. On a side note, I occasionally pick of coffee grinds from Sbucks for our compost pile. Which, eventually turns into dirt.
ReplyDeleteThankfully, no long lines this morning here in Charlottesville especially since my five year old twins were with me! The kids were great so we headed out for free Ben & Jerry's later. That line was much longer!!

ReplyDeleteI wanted my star-shaped red-and-blue-sprinkled donut, but we don't have a KK either...and I agree...coffee tastes like dirt, bitter, nasty dirt!!!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad your sticker was so TINY!! Or maybe you're just bigger than Stellan, so your sticker LOOKS tiny. But man, I truly thought the big, round, red "I VOTED" stickers were nationally used. Guess not. But good for you, nonetheless.
