I'm having trouble keeping up with all of the anonymous spam commenters on my blog right now (I get several a day), and because I feel responsible for deleting them so that my authentic readers don't click on some virus or porn link, I'm removing the "anonymous" posting option for a short while.
I doubt it will defer any of the spammers from returning later, but it will give me a chance to not have to spend the time deleting their comments for a short while. Thanks for understanding!

so great how much time anonymous spammers have, isnt' it?! Like you have time to dedicate to keeping up with their crazy stuff too....so long anonymous spammers....go bug somebody else! Thanks Nate!

Isn't that just the worst. I have dealt with it a little bit, but I don't have near as many followers as you do. Sorry that it has to turn out like that.

ReplyDeleteyou know, I have had a really dramatic increase in spam comments over the last few weeks and from things a few other bloggers have said (all of them use Blogger), I am wondering if there is a glitch somewhere in the system.

ReplyDeleteI just had to do the same thing on my blog. I didn't need comments popping up for things I wouldn't even dream of buying if they were legit, let alone as spam. Ugh...
ReplyDeletewhy do it only temporarily? you should ask people to own their words. you openly share what you want with your readers, so if we have something to say, we shouldn't hide behind anonymity.
