Anxiety

Please pray for Tricia that her anxiety will decrease. It's not constant, and we think it's being caused by one of her meds, but with the lack of sleep and the discomfort of everything, she's having a few times a day when her heart-rate increases and she begins to feel very anxious.

She got a few more hours of sleep this afternoon with the help of some benadryl, and they'll give her some sleeping meds in a little while.

I went home this afternoon for a few hours of sleep, and I'll go back tonight to sleep through the night.

Thanks.

Nate

  1. Praying for all of you to get the rest you need and for Tricia's health and strength as your baby girl gets ready to meet you. Asking God to cover you with His sweet peace and to keep His promise that no harm will come to them. We serve a God of miracles and I am praying for the Big One here.

  5. I'm not sure if you're KJV purists or not, but I love "The Message" Contemporary language presentation of the Word. I opened it tonight and wanted a word for you, and this is where I landed.

    From II Corinthians 12...

    "Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn't get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan's angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty!

    At first I didn't think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that, and then he told me,
    'My grace is enough, it's all you need.
    My strength comes into its own in your weakness.'

    Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift.

    It was a case of Christ's strength moving in on my weakness. Now I take limitations in stride, and with good cheer, these limitations that cut me down to size -- abuse, accidents, opposition, bad breaks. I just let Christ take over!

    And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become."

  7. Dearest Tricia,
    May the LORD answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you. May He send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion. Ps 20:1-2

  8. Tricia and Nate,

    I'm praying for your rest tonight, and thanking God for your steadfast faith in Him as you continue to witness through this difficult trial. You are such an ispiration to so many!

    "Find rest O my soul, in God alone;
    my hope comes from him.
    He alone is my rock and my salvation;
    he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
    My salvation and my honor depend on God;
    he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
    Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge."
    Psalm 62:5-8

    Praying for peace and rest,

  9. Heavenly Father, we praise You that you are the one here that intimately knows what will help Trish sleep, who can clear her lungs, who can literally give her breath (oxygen). I pray that she will sleep a full 8 hours or more tonight. I pray you will take her anxiety on Yourself and she will not fear. "Yea though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil for you are with us." Ps. 23
    I pray for Nate and their family who I know feel their burden is light compared to hers, yet it has got to be one of the most difficult places to be. Bless this family with life Father... two lives.
