As I Wait For The Sleeping Meds to Kick In...

Amazing how quickly so many people responded to the post about Tricia's heart...

A HUGE thanks to the churches who took time today to pray for us, especially the Church of the OBX. Below are pics of Tricia and the card and notebook that arrived with Whit and Margot today.

And, a HUGE thanks to everyone who has posted something on their blogs about us. I've spent several hours the past few nights trying to find every single one so that I could say "thank you!" I must have found 75 so far. That seriously blows my mind!

And, This Post by my sister-in-law is God speaking. That song has been in my head as a prayer for over 6 months since I heard a simplified version sung by a couple at a worship arts conference I attended last summer. The couple shared a story that is now very similar to ours about their newborn with a severe medical condition (we were not pregnant at that point).

My eyelids are getting heavy...

  1. thank you so much for letting margot and i steal some precious time with tricia this evening. we know she was exhausted after all of the many visitors today, and yet she still kept a smile on her face evey moment! i am even more amazed than before at what a sweet, beautiful and incredible person she is. nate, you're not too bad yourself... ha ha. actually, you really are such a devoted and selfless husband; tricia is very blessed to have such a man. thanks for being a great role model for all the men out there.
tricia truly is a hero... i am so very thankful for my time with her today. your story and your lives has really pierced my heart and challenged me to love and serve God and others more. thank you for all that you've shared with everyone! God is using you both in mighty ways...

  2. Nathan & Tricia,
I just received a link to your blog and have been catching up with what has been going on. I want to let you know that you are both in my heart every day! I have added you to my personal prayer chain as well as my church prayer chain. I've recently had a health relapse and am unable to travel back to the East Coast, but I so wish I could be there with you both! I'll get out when I can. I love you guys! Know that you are in my prayers. Please let me know if there is anything I can go - I'm still at MissionsEditor on gmail.
