Today I am exactly 27 years and 1 month old! Woo-Hoo!!!
Oh yeah...way more importantly, tonight marks one month that Tricia has been breathing with her new lungs!!!!
It's amazing to see the difference one month makes. To think how far God has brought us is more than we can comprehend. So many things had to fall exactly into place in order for everything to work out just as it has, and while we give a priceless amount of credit to the Duke staff for the incredible way they have cared for my two girls and myself and our families, we know full well now, more than ever that God is real and intricately involved in every area of our lives.
God's blessings in our lives continue to amaze us, and continue to inspire us even more to do whatever we can to bless others.
Thank you so much for sharing this journey with us. May is looking to be an incredibly exciting month for us for many reasons, and we are beyond thankful for the opportunities that God continues to give us to share our story and make a difference in the world around us.
Thanks!
Nate
It's amazing that it has been a whole month already. It went so fast, but Im sure felt like forever to you guys. I am so happy that you all have come so far. God is good and your story just has proved that over and over again. I think anyone who has not had faith, now does from following your story. Thank you so much for taking us through this journey with you, it has been an amazing one, thats for sure. I wish you all the best of everything and pray that May, as well as the future has all good things in stored for you ALL!!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!

ReplyDeleteCan't believe it's been one month. God is great and all the little details that have come together is because of Him. Very cool.
ReplyDeleteYou are complete strangers, yet I am so incredibly happy for all 3 of you. I pray you have a wonderful life together.
I also pray that you learn to go to your "happy place" when Gwyneth cries in the middle of the night...non-stop. : ) Seriously. The happy place is a God-send.
What a great 1st Mother's Day Trisha is going to have. Also you make a nice looking family I might add.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe it's already been a month since Tricia's transplant! It's been so awesome to hear about all of her progress - God sure has provided her with strength and determination. Makes any complaint I have about being tired or having an ache or pain seem pretty lame.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Tricia will continue to be an encouragement to many people in the days, weeks, months, YEARS to come.
It's amazing what progress Tricia has made in one month, and Gwyneth too for that matter!! God is so good and it's awesome to visibly see him working in your lives. Praying for many more wonderful and healthful months to come.

Well as they say April showers bring May flowers! I am so glad to here that things are going so great. I can wish nothing more than for Gwyneth to keep growing strong, Tricia's lungs to expand more and more every day so she can get that deep breath, and for your whole family to finally be able to go home together. I hope May brings you many more things besides flowers! Love to your whole family!!
ReplyDeletefyi: Capitol Hill just made it official, May is CF Awareness month!

Yes, you are so blessed. Best of luck and continued prayers in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. Your journey is such an amazing story of faith and endurance. Thank you for helping me reach to a level of faith I never thought possible. Your in my heart and thoughts daily.
ReplyDeleteOk hopefully this isn't an awkward question. But I was wondering what Tricia wears around her neck. Is it something that she will continue to always wear? Or eventually will it be removed? Just curious :)
ReplyDeletePraise God for your testimony!!!
Happy Lungaversary!
ReplyDeletePraise the LORD!
WOW, time has flown by. We silly people wouldn't have even begun to know how to time all things. Looking forward to the glorious day of Gwyneth's release, family united.
ReplyDeleteI just found this today and all I can say is...Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baby...beautiful mom...3 beautiful spirit...beautiful story. Simple beautiful! You are all such an inspiration. Thank you for that!
Nate- Praise GOd for all that you have said as well as all that will be in the future.
ReplyDeleteI wonder- with Tricia's restored health, and baby G's encouraging growth and well being... any chance there will be a sibling down the road?
I know you are living in the moment and the future may not be a consideration as of yet... but just wondered if what was once "forbidden" regarding family planning... may well now be an option.
God bless you all.
Chelle'
I'm so happy that everything is moving along. Next thing you know Gwyneth will be joining you, and your family will begin.

Love the family portrait!
ReplyDeleteI was in Rita's today with Ty and talking to the owner about you guys and your trip to Carry's Rita's the other day. While explaining a lady walked in with her boy and heard me finishing up the story and then she picked it right up telling them about the blog.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile I enjoyed my mango gelati and Ty enjoyed chocolate custard.

ReplyDeleteIt is an unbelievable story! I said this along time ago but it was like living through a Bible Story, except we weren't sure how it would unfold. Looking back, knowing how it did unfold is easier than going through it at the time. I don't know if my post makes sense or not! Lord bless you guys as the journey unfolds further. We are still praying!
