Headed To The OR

The nurse just came in and said the OR just called. She's prepping Tricia now. I'll post again when Tricia is out. She'll go to the ICU for a few hours while she wakes up and they observe her, and then she'll be back in her room again.

Thanks for your prayers over the next few hours. Please, pray that they get the samples they need, that the recovery will be quick and easy over the next 48 hours (including the removal of the chest tubes), and that her stay in the ICU will be incredibly short this evening.

Thanks!

Nate

  21. Praying! I hope Tricia recovers quickly and that she is able to keep her spirits up. You two are such strong and faithful people. I am awestruck by how you handle your situation with such grace and dignity. I am praying that God continues to instill peace and calmness in your heart. I also pray that Tricia is cancer free and that you guys are blessed with a much deserved break from health crises.

  28. Thanks be to God that they are going to be able to get her in today. Waiting for things like this is such agony. I just said a prayer for no complications, no avenue for infection, complete biopsy samples, and a quick return to freedom from the hospital.

By the way, I am so shocked at the change in Gwyneth since discharge. She is growing so rapidly now! Truly a testament to the therapeutic benefit of being cared for by mommy and daddy full time now.

  31. Praying, I've been following your blog for quite some time now. I don't think I've ever mentioned why I follow your lives. I think about my sweet 9 year old niece and everything she could have been and experienced had CF not taken her life at such a young age. You both are such an encouragement.

  38. Adding my prayers...and adding Tricia to the prayers for healing during our Torah Service tonight. The translation of the Jewish Prayer for healing is: May the source of strength, Who blessed the ones before us
Help us find the courage to make our lives a blessing
    And let us say: Amen.
Bless those in need of healing with r'fuah sh'leima
The renewal of body, the renewal of spirit,
    And let us say: Amen.
