Tricia's transplant surgeon stopped by tonight and is going to make room tomorrow morning at 6:45am to do the biopsy surgery. Thanks Dr. Shu Lin!!!
Tricia is very apprehensive, I think especially because of the chest tube, so please, pray that she will have peace tonight and lots of sleep.
I'll be at the hotel tonight to be with Gwyneth, and up early tomorrow to be with Tricia.
Thanks.
Nate

ReplyDeleteWonderful news!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the updates...I will pray for her and for health...
Prayers coming your way for sleep and peace for both of you tonight and for good news after the procedure in the morning. Give Gwyneth extra kisses from her Mommy.
ReplyDeleteI continue to keep everyone in my prayers, I just had a chest tube two months ago for the second time, first time was after a lobectomy and the second time was better for me but that is also because it wasn't as big a tube I believe so I hope this time it will be an okay experience (because none of them are good), it still felt like I had a sword in my side though, get good pain meds its worth it! Love the pictures of Meka and glad Gwyneth is doing better. Praying for you everyday!
ReplyDeleteWe'll keep "praying you through", guys! BIG answer to prayer that the surgery can be done already tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteSending lots of hugs for you both. You will be covered in prayer tonight, Tricia! I have a 16 month old daughter who loves to wake me up at night and tonight, I'll consider it a blessing so I can remember to pray!
ReplyDeleteI'm praying too. What a blessing that it will be done tomorrow and not next week. God is so in control of this. You're strength is nothing short of admirable. I'll pray for good rest for Tricia and most importantly good results tomorrow.
ReplyDeletePraying for a peaceful nights sleep and a painless procedure tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Lesley
Well I'm glad you don't have to wait through the weekend. I'll be praying that you both get some good sleep tonight. If you are still on the computer go to bed - hehe :)

We sang these words from Psalm 3 in a concert last week, and I wanted to share them with you:
ReplyDeleteLord, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God.
But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill.
I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
Praying in Oshawa that He will sustain you!
praying for you all
ReplyDeletePraying hard!! May Tricia get some rest and peace tonight. Will be checking in the am. Hope you guys get some sleep!!
ReplyDeleteGod Bless!

Oh, Nate, I'm so sorry that Tricia has to go through the surgical biopsy. I had this done in May of 1999 after a needle biopsy, blood work, etc., failed to provide any insight into the source of a mass on my lung. Turned out that it was a routine case of histoplasmosis (a bird-related fungus), but the journey to that diagnosis was not a pleasant one.
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying that the procedure will go as smoothly as possible, that the outcome will be the very best, and that you and Tricia and everyone who loves you will have peace in the days to come.
In Christ,
Laura
Dearest Tricia,
ReplyDelete"I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song." Psalm 28:7
"As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is flawless. He is a shield for all who take refuge in him. For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? It is God who arms me with strength and makes my way perfect. He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he enables me to stand on the heights... You give me your shield of victory, and your right hand sustains me; you stoop down to make me great. You broaden the path beneath me, so that my ankles do not turn." Psalm 18:30-36
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way ...
Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth." The Lord Almighty is with (you); the God of Jacob is (your) fortress"
Psalm 46:1-2, 10-11
You may not know this side of heaven why this seemingly HUGE obstacle course is part of your journey. But remember, although this has thrown you and everyone else for a loop - it didn't catch our Heavenly Father by surprise - He is still in Control - although it sure is hard to humanly understand.
Hang in there 'Tuff Tric' - we know you will meet this hurdle with beauty and grace and many lives will continue to be touched for our Lord and Savior. You/Nate are advancing the Kingdom - much ground has been gained and many have been added to the Family of God! The Victory has already been won! Hallelujah - Carry on Mighty Warriors - many, many brothers and sisters in Christ are uplifting you in Prayer!
Praying that our Father will hold you in the Palm of His Hand close to His Heart and that you and your family will soon be back on the OBX - safe, sound and healthy
Greg and I love you (and Nate too!) and will continue to lift you in prayer - Greg's face looked 'pained' when I read him the update - he had open heart when he was 18 (decades ago) - he knows all about chest tubes!
Sleep well, beautiful Tricia (and Nate too)!
cindy/greg
Been praying...still praying!
ReplyDeleteDear heavenly Father I come before you tonight to lift Tricia, Nate and baby Gwyneth up to you. I could stop here because you know everything there is to know about this family but I can't stop. My heart breaks for them. I was hoping for them to go home and get the occasional update of how good everyone was doing. I did not expect this. Please cover them tonight as they sleep. Give them a peace that is beyond understanding. Be with the doctors and nurses that attend to Tricia for her biopsy. Now for the biggy Lord because I know you CAN...please extend the miracle of healing to Tricia. Touch her body Lord and send a total healing to her lungs. Whatever was once there I believe you have the power to remove it. If it is a tumor take it away. If it is a fungus remove it. You have the power and I trust that you can bring a healing that is worthy of great testimony. If Tricia's body is not healed miraculously then let us believe that is is because you have something big in store for her. So many lives have been changed because of their story and maybe you are not ready for their lives to be "normal" yet because there are more people that need to come to you. Holy Father you are amazing and your love for us is amazing. In your name. Amen
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear this Trish... really bummed as well...
ReplyDeletePraying for peace and comfort for Tricia, patience for the two of you as you are not where you want to be right now, and wisdom and discernment for the doctors and both of you when the results come back.
ReplyDeleteI hope Tricia was able to get some peaceful sleep last night. I can only imagine how this would trigger anxiety for her after all she's been through. Hopefully you all will be back in the OBX before you know it!
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for the procedure and peace and healing today.

Praying for you, Tricia and Gwyneth. May the Lord bless you all.
