Thankful

I started to write a list of all of the things I have to be thankful for, but I quickly realized how impossible that would be because we have so much to be thankful for.

We have learned this year to be thankful for every day that we are given to live this life together...a year ago, it was difficult to imagine that the three of us would be spending this Thanksgiving together with family.

We have also learned to be thankful for the "bad" things that come to us as well as the good things...God has used each moment of this past year to bring us to where we are.

So, we encourage you to take time today to not just be thankful, but to say "thank you" to those who have blessed your life. We pray that you have time today to enjoy family and friends, and that you'll experience God's love, grace and peace in your lives.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nate

  15. Rejoice in the Lord ALWAYS~ Count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations~ Yes, in the times of blessing and in the times of trial, we have so much for which to be thankful.
Though I would never ask for them, I also would never trade the trials the Lord has brought us through since we've been on the field. As hard and difficult as they've been, they have served to cast me completely again and again on the Rock that never moves in the midst of the storm. How much we have learned, grown, and come to know, trust and love the Lord so much more. Oh, He is so good and faithful!
Happy Thanksgiving! Gwyneth's first Thanksgiving~ I know on the top of her thankful list would be her sweet Mommy and Daddy. Thank you for letting the Lord shine through your life in the good times and bad.
    love and prayers,

  20. Nate and Tricia, you have been such an inspiration to me. I am thankful that you decided to open this blog as it has changed a lot about the way I view things. Could I ask you a small favor? I recently found my step sister who I have not seen since I was a teenager. She was diagnosed with breast cancer at 34. SHe has used this to open a non profit organization Lumps to Laughter. She has written a book and the funds go to support this organization (which was inspired through her relationship with God) Please check it out and if you feel led, tell others about this wonderful organization that she has Co-Founded. Thank you- Happy Thanksgiving.

  27. Happy Thanksgiving to you Nate, Tricia and Gwyneth!

Last year I read your story and it sparked a major shift in my thinking. Yesterday I filled out my license renewal and checked off donor for the very time in my life. I made a new card after first reading your blog but now it is "official". My husband thanks God for your story! Because he would sit for hours speaking to me about donation, but just couldn't hear him. It took God to bring me to your story and sit reading all of it at the time and crying for hours until I finally went to the site to get a donor card for my wallet. God bless you for sharing all that you have. I love you all!

God is faithful and good all of the time!

Indeed we have much to be thankful for!

God bless you and your family today!

The house is really coming along! I'm sure you are all excited to get moved in and enjoy it!

    Love,
    Jill
