Hurricane Irene

We are safe and sound, out house is dry. But, the flooding here is historic, never been anything like it. Many people are still without power, some without water or any help because of damaged roads. Thank you for prayer for our community. It will take a long time to recover from this. I'll post some photos and links when I can.

  4. Glad to hear you're safe. What a ride, right? Hugo made us rethink hurricane preparedness. The biggest blessing afterwards was having men with chainsaws gather in the community to help clear the roads and driveways. Then having the power restored would be a close second.

  13. Glad you are okay. My family knows how it feels to go through a Hurricane. My parents lost everything to Hurricane Ike 3 years ago. I think so many people have forgot what happened to so many people with Hurricane Katrina, Rita and Ike. I hope these people that suffered damage from Hurricane Irene are able to recovery a little quicker then those folks have. Sherri
