Praying for Tricia as her body knits together and she recovers, for you as you hold so much together for T and the children, for her medical team to keep on rocking as they have done, and for the grieving donor family - may the gift they and their loved o e have given offer them some comfort and peace.
Praying for a speedy recovery with no rejection, and that these lungs will carry her into many decades of a long life serving the Lord. God bless you all and the family that lost a loved one.
Praying for y'all!!! Praying that the Lord would touch Tricia's body and that you both would feel the Lord's love each moment. SO thrilled with this news that the surgery went successfully and praying that the recovery is easier than anyone could imagine! Rebecca:)
That's fantastic! I hope Tricia does well and that you will continue to update the blog letting us know how she is doing. I'm glad that someone out there chose to be a donor and it is saving Tricia's life. I hope that brings a bit of peace to the donor's family.
Praying for Tricia and her new lungs in KY. Praying the family of the one who donated the lungs. Prayers for you and all the family as you support Tricia.
Praying for Tricia!I am so happy for all of you! I will also keep the donor family in our prayers. Through their sacrifice and tears they have given Tricia another chance. I hope these new lungs will give her the opportunity to grow old with you and Gwen :)
Although my heart is heavy with grief for the family that lost a loved one, I am SO happy that Tricia received this gift from the family. What a gift. I am praying to the Powers Beyond that these lungs will allow Tricia to live her dreams. I might not share your exact beliefs but I certainly believe in love and if your love of one another isn't a shining example of that, I don't know what is. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts. Miracles happen. May the gift of love and life Tricia has received inspire wonderful openness and love for all things!
Praying!!! My husband and I have been praying from the very beginning for your beautiful wife...we read your blog with the first transplant and threw the birth of your little one...praying that each day gets easier and easier and that your wife gets stronger... Guy and Nadine
Oh my gosh!!!!! I've been offline for the last 30 hours or so and just signed back in and saw this!!!!! Wow!!!!! Totally made my night :-D Congratulations, and may Tricia have a quick and easy recovery. --CB
Tricia, Gwyneth, and Nate -- I have been following since Gwyneth was in the womb. I am not a person of faith, but I have wished fervently for the wellbeing of your whole family. Last night, while she was in surgery, my partner and I raised our glasses to Tricia. We both continue to raise you up in our best wishes and intentions, and hope that you are comforted by the embrace of all the people around the world -- friends, family, and strangers -- who hold you close in their thoughts in these trying days. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow you all of the days of your lives.
This morning as I was praying for Tricia, the thought crossed my mind that perhaps the donor is just that because of your blog and the importance you have placed on becoming an organ donor. Maybe only eternity will reveal that answer! Praying that Tricia progresses and that you will soon be able to return home.
Such glorious news this morning to learn of Tricia's transplant! My thoughts and prayers have been with her and all in the family, since I met you at Duke. May all go smoothly in the days ahead.
I actually took a rare morning break at work to check for an update :) I am glad things went as well as could be expected. I hope Tricia gets to really enjoy her new lungs soon!
Your entire family has been in our prayers since we met in the NICU at Duke. We continue to pray for you all. We praise God for this wonderful gift. We are praying for a complication-free recovery.
Hi Nate.. I've just stumbled across your blog because I'm worried sick about my husband who's been in and out of hospital for past 4 weeks with cf and was admitted last night again very unwell on 4 intravenous antibiotics. Our little 2 year old is sleeping next door. I feel so helpless and just want him to get better. Coming across your blog helps me feel I'm not alone. I am going to be praying for you, your daughter and your wife to all get through this tough time, it's so hard keeping going when the chips are down so to speak but just thinking of your family time in past and in the future will keep you all going. X
I've not checked your blog in a couple weeks and obviously have missed out on a lot. I'm so happy that Tricia was blessed with new lungs and that everything is going well! God is good!
