Four of our pastors (including my dad), one of the pastor's wife, my mom, Tricia's parents, my sister Rachel and Ramon and my Aunt Donna and a friend all gathered around Tricia's bed today from 12 to 1. The pastors anointed her head with oil (read James 5) and then spent several minutes reading Scripture and praying for her. It is incredibly encouraging to know that all of those people made the trip for the day just for Tricia.
Thank you all for praying with us today.
Tricia is feeling a little better tonight. She was talking much more than she has been the past several days (it's hard to talk when you can't breathe).
Thank you. Please pray that she will sleep well tonight and tomorrow will be even better than today.
Nate

ReplyDelete“Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible" (Matthew 19:26).
ReplyDeleteKnow that you have people in NC praying for you guys!
ReplyDeleteYour help will come from the Lord, the same God who created you lovingly, will also see you through the storm. You are His creation that He passionately loves and so is your unborn baby. Rest in His arms and find strength there. Our God is not sleeping, nor has He turned away, but trust that He is working behind the scenes and His will is perfect.
I pray for strength and healing for Tricia and your child.
It was a fantastic day at Duke.It is great to have a loving and caring church family. Agnes and I appeciated the Pastors and family that gathered at noon. We also apprecicate the unkown that were involved in their own pray time.In early evening, I had the privledge with sitting with Tricia as others were on errands or had left for the night and realized her breathing appeared to be less stressful. (Was it wishful thinking on my part?) A doctor that had seen Tricia early stopped in to address a med question the nurse wanted answered. The doctor stated," you are certainly breathing better now from when I saw you this morning". She even commented that her color had improved since then also. I then took a mental checked and realized that Tricia had not used the Bi Pap machine which she can use when her breathing with just oxgen becomes labored. Praise God prayer changes things. Why not pray for Tricia and Nate and baby when you say grace at noon for your lunch everyday. Thanks for praying.
ReplyDeleteWe pray every night for guys with the kids before bed. Mr. & Mrs. Thompson in Florida are praying, too. We love you.
ReplyDeleteJenny
Glory to God!! We are still praying and asking everyone we know to do the same.
ReplyDeleteWe pray that God lifts your whole family up as only he can! Until then remember Isaiah 43:5
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for about a week. Your lives honor God. During my recent bout with ovarian cancer, these verses were especially encouraging to me.
ReplyDelete"Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need" Heb. 4:14-16.
Praying much for you.
