During the night, Tricia's vent pressure was reduced from 32 to 30.
Both girls are responding to my voice.
It's amazing to see...Tricia's heart-rate drops 5 points whenever I enter the room. Just a few minutes ago, Janet and Megan were with her having a contest to see who's voice could drop it the most. I walked in, and immediately put them to shame.
I've spent several minutes talking with Tricia. She'll squeeze my hand, slow her breathing, and even smile for me (once) when I ask. She's seen me twice now this morning, although I doubt she'll remember it later. They're working on helping her digestion at the moment, so I've stepped out for a few minutes.

My parents shot several minutes of Gwyneth video, but I'm waiting to watch it with Tricia and will post it after we have celebrated together.
BTW, people have asked about the 65Roses4PattySue address in KDH. It will be checked daily by the trust fund administrator.

Nate, seeing you looking into the incubator (that is what they called them in my day, may have a new name by now) brought back memories of our first born premie! We looked at her like that and wanted to hold her so much. She just turned 34 Jan 7th. I'm praying you have the same opportunity to celebrate with her for many, many years. Praying hard for Trish.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great update on Tricia. I'm so glad she is responding to you. It was so sweet of the NICU nurses to send down that note for Tricia. I'm sure that the note and the pictures of Gwenyth will be the first thing she wants to see when she wakes up. God bless you all for your "ministry mindedness" through this stressful time. What amazing fruit is already being seen! All my co-workers here at Atlantic Shores keep stopping by my office asking for updates and joining in the prayer.

Isn't amazing how present God is with you all in that hospital right now, in each room with each person and all of you there. And yet, He is big enough to hear all of the thousands of prayers being lifted up to Him from down here. He just keeps getting bigger and bigger in my heart as I continue checking here. I am going to wear out my mouse!:)
Continue resting in His loving arms and grace, He has this so covered in His Plan for you. I am so humbled and honored to be praying for you with soooooooooooo many others. It must be such a scary time for you. Worrying and praying for both of the most important women in your life must be so difficult. It will be a long rough journey for you and your wife as your daughter grows and gets stronger. It will be a journey filled with angst but also some wonderful memories. Wishing you and your family health and that you can all be home together in time.
