1 Month Bronch

We learned last minute that Tricia has her 1 month Bronchoscopy today. She's having it done right now, with the help of a few light sleeping meds, which should make the rest of the afternoon fun. :D

  14. Nate, you mention earlier that it would take a whole blog post to explain how you & Tricia managed to find good, stable insurance.

I am getting married in a few months and the insurance situation is pretty dire. (I've been blogging about the full situation lately.) I am nowhere needing a transplant, yet still have PLENTY of astronomical bills to pay. If you get a moment (ha, like that's likely to happen!) I would really love to hear how you and Tricia managed to find good insurance. My family, my fiancé and I are all kind of at our wits end as we run into more and more dead ends. Many other CFers are no help at all - the general consensus seems to be that I should just not get married and live with my fiancé instead. (You probably understand why that is not an option!!!) I truly feel like getting married is in accordance with God's will, and I would appreciate hearing the story of another CF couple who didn't just shack up together to stay on their parents' insurance...

  15. I remember my one-month bronch! Fun times! haha, not really, but the sedatives sure do make you sleep. They've never knocked me completely out for one, but another transplant friend of mine is knocked out every time. It just all depends on the patient!

    Praying for you guys!

  24. Hope all went well and that the results were normal! Prayin' Tricia recovers quickly from the sleeping meds. Perhaps the docs will remove the trach soon if the results passed.
