This post is scheduled to automatically publish at 2pm today.
Every Tuesday while you've been in the hospital, we have taken a picture with your pug so that everyone can see how much you are growing! You will be coming home with us this week, so this will be the last post about you in the hospital!
You are now 16 inches long, and you weigh 4lbs 10oz!
Your eighteenth week was a great week! You have finally grown big enough to be able to eat everything from your bottle, which also means that you had your feeding tube removed! This was your last big step before being ready to come home, and you are scheduled to be discharged sometime later this week!
We are so excited to have you home with us, and we've been very busy getting everything ready so that you will be happy and safe. Grandma K. will be hanging out with us for a while to help you feel at home, and I'm sure that you'll have more family coming to see you after you feel like you've settled in!
In the next week, we are looking forward to bringing you home and getting to know you even more by spending as much time as we can with you!
We love you!

What a miracle. God is so amazing!
ReplyDeleteBig girl, always with her hand on her eyes. PEEK-A-BOO.
ReplyDeleteHa, look at that darling with her hand over her face. So dramatic for one so young!
ReplyDeleteYou guys have such fun times ahead. I'm sure it's overwhelming to have the little one come home for good with Tricia still recovering, but I have SUCH confidence in you both. Be encouraged - you are ready, and you can do this. Blessings on your family,
Sarah T
This is going to be so special! Its almost incredible. Praying your beautiful family, and for your Mom, Nate. Wishing you all the very best.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you. She looks BIG compared to the pug, especially looking back at her first few pug pictures. Although she has grown a ton - she is still a little peanut at 4 lbs. 10 oz.. Very precious!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this miracle with us. You and your family have been such an inspiration to me.
She's beautiful as always. It seems she really likes to sleep with her little hands by her face, I like it when babies have little habits like that, makes their personalities shine through!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on bringing Gwyneth home!!! I love the pictures of her with her hand on her face...I was looking back to post right before she was born and there was one with her hand on her face, just like the ones in this post. She must like it that way!!
ReplyDeleteI will be praying for you all as you settle in and get used to everything!!
God is amazing!!
Thank you for sharing with us.

ReplyDeleteAs my friend Sarah put it, that pug surely is looking small! :)
ReplyDeleteShe's beautiful!
Congratulations Nate and Tricia. This beautiful day set apart for Gwenyth to come home. You are going to miss these moments so much! They go by so fast. It is so much fun to look at your baby and see who's nose, hair color, eye shape etc. etc. she has. God knew that Gwenyth could not have better parents than the two of you! Your journey has changed...WOW!
ReplyDeleteShe is getting so big:) I also love the photos.
ReplyDeleteWelcome "Home" Gwyneth!!!

ReplyDeleteHey! the pug is shrinking! :) and that is a very good thing. Miss Gywneth is growing so beautifully... absolutely delightful to behold. God you are so good...
ReplyDeleteyesterday, my family wasn't sure if i had floated away to another planet or not - but i had found your blog & could NOT stop reading. i think i read for over 2 hours. your story is incredible. it is a true testiment to God's FAITHFULNESS and that miracles DO happen. He has walked with you - and He also walked with you today, through the door of your house as you brought your beautiful White Rose home. I cannot stop smiling about that!! :)
ReplyDeletethe strength you have shown, in the midst of possibly losing the 2 more important people in your life, is incredible. what a testimony.
your family now has a big place in my heart...i will carry your story with me, and will realize that the tough times i have are very small compared to what you have been through.
My husband and i tried for 2 1/2 years before becoming pregnant with our daughter...and now as our arms ache for another baby, and we've been waiting another 2 1/2 years - stories like yours bring me hope, that God really is watching over us, He NEVER leaves us, and He hears our prayers, our screams, our questions, our praises, EVERYTHING.
ENJOY these first days at home with your girls. take it all in...and hopefully get some sleep!! :) :)
MANY BLESSINGS, and prayers...
- J.
Wow, what a cutie!
ReplyDeleteyou are an inspiration to a whole lot of people... and you have no idea how many people have you give energy to keep fighting on for :)
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled for you that you're all home now. I love the way sweet Gwyneth puts her hand over her face when she sleeps. I think you might have a little drama queen. I can see it now. "If I must, I must." or "But Dad, I'll spoil my dress if I clean my room." lol God has blessed you tremendously. Praise His holy name.
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! Praise God for His wondrous works!!
ReplyDeletewow what a big difference from 2 weeks. God has been so good to you. keep us posted on her home coming. i remember bringing our little Meg home last year from the NICU. what excitement and nervousness at the same time. continuing to pray for your family
