Melts my heart to see your two girls together! I am so happy for you and the work God has done in your life. May HE continue to be glorified through your story. Jaime in GA
Wow. Yes, they are both beautiful beyond words!! Such tender feelings of mom for daughter are captured in Tricia's eyes in the first picture--just amazing.
What a joy it is to see her holding that baby!! May God continue to bring quick recovery and full health to both so that you can soon have a "normal" life! Lori in VA
I have been an avid reader for months, and my family has been following the hand of God on your lives. We are thrilled that things are going so well for you all!
I just wanted to let you know that my 15 year old daughter went to get her driver's license permit last week and we discussed organ donation. We discussed Tricia in fact. She whole heartedly agreed to be a donor. Made this momma proud!
The pictures are beautiful. Keep sharing, keep witnessing and keep loving!
Beautiful is so true. I just love seeing Tricia holding her baby girl. What a blessing to see, miracles in action. You are so blessed Nate, and I hope you realize that when you are all together back home with Nika, you are outnumbered by females.:) Praying for home for you soon!
Fantastic pictures! They capture the peace, love and joy Tricia must be feeling as she finally gets to really snuggle with her precious miracle baby- the answer to so many prayers. You're a beautiful Mommy, Tricia!! We love you! :)

Very beautiful. They are both beautiful by themselves, but when you put a child in his or her mothers arms, these are truly precious moments ( I am mommy of 4 w/ 1 one the way) for mommy, daddy and baby. Enjoys these moments, soon you will wonder if she was ever this small and sweet :)
brought tears of joy to my eyes:) what a wonderful husband and father you are. so touching. and to see tricia with her daughter, being a mother myself, ... the beauty of the love God gives us for our children takes my breath away. thank you for sharing as always!

It is absolutely amazing how great Tricia looks! God is so good isn't he? Gwyneth seems to be doing just as well. It is so amazing how the world has watched God work in your lives- What a story to tell Gwyneth one day. Thanks for the photos- you call look great! I assume that Tricia took the photo of Nate at Duke Gardens? She did pretty good with the camera as well.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful gift of photography. These were powerful photos-how amazing to see Tricia getting the skin-to-skin contact with Gwyneth. We have our Great Strides Walk tomorrow in our area-will be thinking of you three!
What a gorgeous family!! So happy for you both that things are going so well. Quick (dumb)question: whats the function on the camera that you get the fabulous contrast? Anyway, will see you at the walk tomorrow! YAY!
I think these are two of my favorite pics ever... well since the adorable fraggle rock one's. How precious! You are a lucky man to have such beautiful ladies in your life!
I am a mom with a 3 year old daughter with CF and I just would like to say, that although your story was hard emotionally for me to read at times, thinking about what my Emma may have to go through someday, you ALL are truly an inspiration. It's ironic b/c Emma's favorite place to be is the outerbanks in NC! I saw something about milepost 13...we stayed in Kitty Hawk and Kill Devils Hill when we were there. Emma loved the waves, the beach, and the "salty" air doesn't hurt either! I am absolutely amazed how your story worked out...the odds you all faced and the fact that they were conquered! The baby is beautiful and most of all as a mom with a daughter with CF, I am so happy for Tricia that she got a chance at a "new life" and got a chance to be a mom...that to me is what I hope for Emma too. We are sending our prayers your way...Nate, stay strong...you are doing a wonderful job and you must be a really great man...as well as Tricia, stay strong...keep positive. We are thinking of you all!!!!!
Hi! I am a mom with a three year old with Cystic Fibrosis. Her name is Emma, and I would just like to say that your story is so inspirational. One of Emma's very favorite places to go from Pittsburg, PA where we live is the Outer Banks...she loves the beach, and the waves and the "salty" air never hurts! I just got on this site and I must say that it is so moving for me as a mom with a child with Cystic Fibrosis. I can't imagine what you all have been through but I am thrilled for Tricia that she was given the chance at a "New" life and granted the wonderful experience of being a mom! She and your baby are beautiful beings and we are praying for you! Although at times this is hard to read for me, b/c I envision, my little Emma going through some of these heart wrenching things, it gives me faith that in the end, it will work out! Thank you for sharing your story...we are doing great strides on May 18 th up here and in the last 3 years we've raised approximately 25,000 dollars to aid in the vital research needed to get the statistics up higher or our hope is that they eventually go away completely. Emma is doing well thus far...with a CRAZY schedule and it is such a busy life but she is so special and worth it. Much love to all of you.
