You are now 24 1/2 inches long, and you weigh almost 13lbs!
Your first year was quite an adventure! It was far too amazing to even try to fit it into a few paragraphs, but we have kept this blog so that you can read all about it when you're older. Although you came to us early, you have bloomed into an incredibly beautiful and energetic little girl.
We are excited to show you our new house and your very own bedroom in the next few days. We're also excited to throw you a big, fun birthday party in a few weeks
In the next year, we are looking forward to watching you progress and grow into a little person who can explore the world on her own! We'll be taking our very first family vacation in a few months, and we're excited to turn you into a beach bum like us this summer!
We love you!
I thought I'd also post the pics from Week 2 just for a quick comparison...I remember many people not believing just how small she really was when I posted those first pug pics. And, yes, that is the same pug!

ReplyDeleteAlways love the pug pics. It's amazing to see how much she's grown. We had fun on pink and brown day reading many of the birthday wishes from far and wide and imagining how cool that's going to be for her look back on some day. It's been quite a year and quite a journey. Thanks for allowing us to tag along.
ReplyDeleteThe two words that came right to my mind when I read and saw this post were, beautiful and amazing. Then I went to post here and the same two words were in Kate's first post here!

My cousins' son was born at 26 weeks. He's 11 now and they still photograph him with the same goodnight moon bunny that they used in pictures during those micro premie days to emphasize his tininess.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat comparison from her at birth to her at a year. Thanks for posting.
