Friday Update from Tricia

Feeling at my weakest now. But I need to be reminded of the grace in my life & of God's goodness. Thankful for this lesson from the Jesus Calling, "Thank Me for the very things that are troubling you. You are tempted to indulge in just a little complaining about My treatment of you. The best protection against this indulgence is thanksgiving. It is impossible to thank Me and curse Me at the same time...your thankful words, prayed in faith, will eventually make a difference in your heart. Thankfulness awakens you to My Presence, which overshadows all your problems."

You inspire me. In the midst of trials, pain, & sickness, you are thanking Him. I thank Him for you & your family. His power is made perfect in your weakness.

    Praying for your recovery.

  11. I am encouraged and inspired by your comment. What I have been doing make me feel stupid and bad. I was wondering what is God telling me by all this. I know now what I needed to do is to thank Jesus.

Thank you and I will pray for you and your family from Japan.

  16. Hi Tricia,
I feel as if I know you just a bit from you and Nathan's blogs. We even seem to have some things in common. So when I saw the phrase "The best protection against this indulgence is thanksgiving" I wanted to share a link a friend gave to me. It tells about Ann Voskamp's book "1000 gifts" which I hope to read soon (& has a beautiful trailor about it). But in the meantime Ann's blog uplifts me everday and I've just recently started my own 1000 gifts journal. I hope you find it as encouraging as I have. You continue to be in my prayers!
