Every Tuesday while you're in the hospital, we'll take a picture with your pug so that everyone can see how much you are growing!
You are now 16 inches long, and you weigh 4lbs 2oz!
Your sixteenth week was another good week! You grew a few more ounces, and you're moving closer and closer to the day you'll be coming home with us! You continue to eat a little more from the bottle everyday, and the nurses and doctors are very happy with how well you're growing.
Your mommy and daddy we able to spend a lot of time with you this week, as were your Grandma K. and your Aunt Janet! You love being in your crib, continuing to maintain your own body temp and breathe on your own. And, this past week, we celebrated the fact that you are now completely full-term at 40 weeks gestation! You're just like any other newborn baby, except that you're small.
In the next week, we're praying that your eyes continue to grow and become more healthy and that you make it all the way to the 4lbs and 6oz that you need to come home!
We love you!

I love the pictures. She looks like a little porker. Which of course I mean as a compliment! :)
ReplyDeleteOnce she hits 4 lbs. 6 oz., will she be able to go home? Or, does she still need to drink a little more from the bottle before her discharge? Either way, it won't be long now!
Homeward bound, so wonderful:)
ReplyDeleteWoohoo-She's looking so much bigger! she'll squash Webkinz Pug!!! Thanks for the pics Nate.
ReplyDeleteY'all have a wonderful night. I'll keep prayers going for all of you. (Wonder what Tricia decided on for bedtime snack heh)
God Bless you all

It truly is amazing to see how big she is growing. What's the time frame for her homecoming?

ReplyDeleteMy baby girl was 4 lbs 16 inches at birth. I can't imagine how tiny Gwyneth really was when she looks so big now and I know how truly small she still is. That syringe on the bed looks awfully big in comparison to her as well. She is beautiful and will only continue to grow! I am so glad to hear that Tricia is doing so well and can now be the mom she always wanted to be.
ReplyDeleteWay to grow, little Gwyneth! Happy 40 weeks gestation! You are such a big little girl! It is our honor to continue to lift you and your mommy and daddy in prayer. Only 4 more ounces...you can do it! Thinking of you and praying a lot. Jason and Adrienne in CO xoxox
ReplyDeleteShe'll be home before you know it!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, she is getting so big. My little preemie was 5 pounds when he came home (born weighing 3lbs 5oz) and it was an amazing day when it happened! I'm sure that you two will be in 7th Heaven when Gwyneth gets to leave that hospital with you!
ReplyDeleteThank the Lord for the two ounces. Our first born was a month premature. Back in those days they didn't have the same level of technology. Every ounce was progress! We are praying for you all.
ReplyDeleteBaby Rose is getting so big. Is she talking yet? Ty likes to look at her pics and we can't wait for her (and you two) to come home. We want to hold Gwyneth, hug Tricia and eat at Rita's with all three of you!

She has grown so much in the past few weeks. Hard to believe she'll be going home soon.
ReplyDeleteNate and Tricia, Gwyneth is so precious! We cannot believe how big she is getting, in comparison to her pug! We pray for the day that she will get to come home with you both, which seems to be right around the corner. Take care and God bless you!

Awesome update!! Almost there!! She looks absolutely beautiful and is filling out so well.
ReplyDeleteJust think one day soon you will be hauling Gwyneth to all of these appointments!! Tricia can get added exercise by pushing Gwyneth in the stroller!!
ReplyDeletePraising God that things are looking so great for you all!
She is beautiful and looks soo good!! She will be home in no time. Praying!!

Dear Gwyneth,
ReplyDeleteFor 16 weeks we've watched you grow. You've captured the hearts of thousands and thousands of people. Your Daddy has taken hundreds of pictures of you so we could watch you grow. You're strong and beautiful, just like your Mommy, and I'm sure you're going to grow up to be caring and funny and wonderful - just like your Daddy!
Soon, you'll be coming home and then the fun will really start and we hope Daddy continues to show us your picture as you grow up. You are precious.
Love to all.
Happy bday Gwyneth!

Kisses to both Tricia and Gwennie and hugs to you Nate. Ok a kiss to you too Nate!
That child has grown so much just in the last couple of weeks! I went back to 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 8 weeks...the pug was still like Godzilla next to a little Japanese girl. Then suddenly around 14 weeks it was like "Gwyneth on steroids" and the pug was all whoa - I'm not messin' with that kid!

ReplyDeleteShe is just precious! We are all praying that she can go home soon.
ReplyDeleteTerrific milestones - thank God! Gwyneth's news just keeps getting better, how wonderful. I'm praying Gwyneth will be discharged soon, it looks like she is really close now.
ReplyDeleteGwyneth is beautiful. She's almost there, 4 more oz. :) I'm giving her until next week. By the end of next week, she should be able to go home with you. Get a family portrait done when she gets home. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you again for keeping us up-to-date. You are a beautiful family.
Oh wow! She is so close!!
ReplyDeleteShe is just gorgeous!
I have been following your blog for awhile but this is my first post. I am so glad Gwyneth is doing so well. My daughter was born at 28 weeks. I can't image going have a wife that needed a transplant and having a preemie. You have an amazing family. I love seeing all the pictures. I am a photographer, however I was horrible at taking Leah's picture while she was in the hospital. I am so mad at my self now.
ReplyDeleteWOW, she is getting so big! :) So close to coming home!!!
ReplyDelete4 more ounces! Grow Gwyneth! Grow! We are all rooting for you!!!
ReplyDelete4 more oz is NOTHING!! she can do that in a week! Be ready for the day they say she is all yours!! It scared me to death but once we got my son home it was absolute heaven!
ReplyDeleteErinn
4 more ounces! You can do it, little one!
ReplyDeleteWhat a miracle you are.
Wow, so she'll only be a little over 4lbs when you bring her home? That's amazing... Are you a little scared when you hold her that you'll hurt her, or break her? I can't imagine comfortably functioning in my own home with a baby that small! My own were 8lbs 8oz and9lbs at birth, so you can see where I'm coming from here. Wow, that means she's about half the size my son was at birth! Geez..
ReplyDeleteShe's growing like a weed! She's so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWe serve an awesome God.
ReplyDeletehi nathan and tricia! my name is Grace and I am 8 years old. Only half a pound left and she might get to go home. i hope i get to see her someday. i am praying for you!
