We trick or treat in our neighborhood. I always make my five kids pose for a group pic on the couch with all their candy. The little ones typically have a sucker in their mouth. . . or perhaps stuck to their costume? :)
My church did Trunk or Treat for the first time this year. It was a lot of fun and a great outreach to the community.
Looks like you all have a blast! Loved the commercial...especially when the other guys (not sure what his costume was) becomes so excited about free hotdogs he spits in your face! Very funny! :)
ToT is a great idea, although our church has never done it, we have a fall festival, which is pretty much a carnival (small scale) with games and food and the kids get "gift"/candy bags and win candy for their game prizes. I love it, we don't celebrate halloween, but we figure this is a great way to keep the kids in our community safe and hear about Christ and still have a blast.
It looks like you guys have some really cool ministry outreaches at your church.
I'm the one who introduced herself to you after the 9:00 service yesterday. I hope you don't think I was weird or anything, but I did just want to affirm how awesome it is that you have shared your's, Tricia's, and Gywneth's story over the internet for all to see how God has brought you through so much.
I just posted on your dad's blog as well since I though it was so cool he mentioned me on Sunday's post (I introduced myself to him, too).
Thanks for taking the time to blog and share so much. It's so amazing to see how God has used your words to draw people closer to Him.
Oh, and I really wanted to meet your wife, too, but I know that her immune system isn't perfect and I was nervous to meet her. I don't know why, because everything you've written makes her seem like the sweetest girl, but I was still nervous because you guys are pretty famous (admit it). I know that if I never make my way down to the OBX again I can at least give her a big hug of encouragement when we're all in His Heavenly Kingdom together with all the other believers :)
Anyway, keep going strong for Christ and know that you always have the Fohner Family here in MD praying for you guys!

OK I laughed out loud, at work, so funny. I love those commercials!
Great Video ... I needed a good laugh this morning! Great to see you are all getting back into the swing of a normal life.
So, fun. We did ToT at our "old" church but it doesn't sound like it is on as big a scale as it is at our "new" church...
Can't wait!
Nate, that video is awesome!

That was awesome!!! My 2yr old was sitting in my lap when I watched it and he kept saying "Again, Again!"
I do have to ask how many takes did you have to endure getting spit in the face???? I hope just once!!!!
What a great outreach that your church does!!!
