(Bump) Like A Virus

This was originally posted in January. I'm still finding new blogs/websites linking to ours nearly every day, and I'm sure I've missed a bunch...THANK YOU so much for sharing our part of God's story with others! No need to ask my permission to link our blog or any of my posts...we appreciate your help in raising awareness about the issues we are passionate about!

Just as many of you are checking in with us several a day, I spend several minutes each week seeking out any and all blogs and websites that mention our story, posting a simple "Thank you!" on every one that allows. The number is in the thousands by now...which I find absolutely amazing...and those are just the ones that I've been able to find.

I'm doing all I can to document and save everything I write and read about this story. Your comments, your emails, your cards and letters and packages.

Now, I'd like to devote this post to asking those of you who have blogged about our story to simply leave a comment with your web/blog address (we'll keep it short and uncluttered). It would mean the world to me, it would mean easy access for when Tricia and others want to read more, and it would mean some serious traffic for you.

If you know of a third party website (like a website chat room) that is talking about us, and do not see it posted yet, feel free to do post. Please, only comment on this post if you have your own link to share, or a third party website link.

Thank you!

Nate

I have a link to your blog on my blog... which many of my friends and family use to read your story each day.

I also have a walking group and every evening after our kids are in bed we walk. My fellow walkers don't read your blog but every night they ask about Gwen, you and Tricia and how things are going. If nothing else, your blog is motivating us to get healthy and loose weight! Even on the days I don't feel like walking I go... becuase I know they're all dying to find out how Gwen and Tricia are doing. Thanks for the motivation :)

I have been following your story for quite some time. You have a beautiful family & you are a blessing to many people in the midst of your suffering. I can't say that I know how you are feeling, but we have and continue to go thru a trial of our own. Our son, Grady, was born 9 weeks early (9/13/07) with a congenital heart defect. Doctors determined that there was nothing more that they could do for him other than list him for a transplant. On the night of October 31, 2007 he received his new heart. You can read our story at www.gradyevan.blogspot.com. While we have received lots of support from family & friends, there are also those who question why we would put a baby thru something like a transplant. We really believe that God was and is still directing us thru this entire process just like he is guiding you. We are praying for all of you daily.

Hey Nate-
I had a thought about your last post (bonding with your sweet pea) and you may have already thought of this, too:
That may be God's way to protect you and Tricia - or any parent in that situation. Otherwise it may be too unbearable-not that it wasn't-to let her be treated and cared for the way she needed to be.
Just a thought-
