Lonely No More

Gwyneth,

I just want to say thank you for being such a fun, beautiful and loving companion to me when mommy's in the hospital. Except when other family and friends were around, I used to be alone a lot when mommy had to stay in the hospital...it was no fun leaving her alone, driving in the car alone, running errands alone, sleeping in the hotel alone.

Now, I have you to miss mommy with, buy clean underwear and socks with, eat in the cafeteria with, and bring mommy home with...you make the missing much easier. And, I know that mommy feels better about me not being so alone too. You make our lives better in every way, just by being you!

Love,

Papa

Awwww, you had me at "papa"! That's what I called my dad, and still do at 34. He's now "Grandpapa", but he's still just MY papa too. On a totally different note, her eyes look great! My friend had girl twins at 25 weeks, and one of the twins also need the strabimisimous (sp?) sx, I'm always so thankful for modern medicine!!!

I haven't ever commented before - I read your blog from Hong Kong, but this post made me just have to comment.

It seems to sum up so much, it is just beautiful, and this is also one of the nicest pictures I've seen of Gwyneth even though it is a little blurry, she looks very wise :-)

So glad you all three of you have each other.

OMG! In that picture, your sweet baby looks like a TODDLER to me! They grow so fast.

What a heartfelt note to your daughter.

That is such a beautifully expressed sentiment! That hopefully all parents can relate to in part. Isn't it amazing how you can still keep being a little more in love with your child every new day? And she with you guys. Its too wonderful. Happy for all of you and happy for your sister and her husband with their newborn too.

Having a buddy makes everything easier.

And Nate, no matter what, someone, somewhere will always disapprove. It's just a shame they feel a need to tell you.

Nate, I have read some of your stories on this blog and I am speechless, you have been through a lot, but you are an encouragement, and your story is a testimony that God is faithful
I pray that Tricia's healing shall be permanent.

Precious words about one of the most precious gifts we are blessed to have! They need us to take care of them, but we reap such a wonderful bounty from them. Children are truly gifts from God!
I was so thrilled to see Tricia at church on Sunday! She is amazing! The three of you and your families are such an inspiration to me!
Much love from your sister in Christ, Claire Drake
