Sanctity of Human Life Sunday

"Oh yes, You shaped me first inside, then out; You formed me in my mother's womb. I thank you, High God—You're breathtaking!
Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, You know every bone in my body;
You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before You, The days of my life all prepared before I'd even lived one day."
(Psalm 139:14-16)

Below is what a 24 week "fetus" looks like. I only wish I could describe to you what it feels like. I have no doubt that anyone who could have held that tiny hand would truly understand just how sacred every human life is, born or unborn.

And then just scroll down to see that beautiful three-year-old "fetus"; smiling, pig-tails flying as she is tossed in the air by the Daddy who has loved her from Day 1. That says it all, Nathan! Thank you!

Praise God from whom all blessings flow"!
The horrible truth/tragedy in all of this is that the abortionist does know this is life and yet still does the deed!

While I have always been "pro-life", holding that tiny hand truly gave me a whole new perspective as to why.

I had 23 week twins who sadly did not survive past a few days but I am so thankful that I was at a hospital that considered their life worth saving! They were amazing little boys and I know that now they are more alive than ever!

And your little girl is just too cute for words! A true miracle!

I have a granddaughter who was born at 24 weeks 6 days and I know the feeling of holding a tiny hand, praying, and watching her grow into a healthy, happy two year old today. Your Gwyneth is so beautiful! Praise God!

Every time I read an article, or see a video, on abortion (especially late-term), I picture all these little preemies in my mind. My best friend is a reader of your blog, too, and has a precious granddaughter that just turned three~ born weighing 2# 2oz. I was allowed in the NICU that night~ so little Avery was the first micro-preemie I've ever seen without glass between us. I took pictures and marveled in awe at how perfect this 31 week (measured 27 weeks) was. I've ALWAYS been anti-abortion, but now I can give people faces and names to support that they ARE a baby!

I agree that all lives are precious. I just wish it was as important to protect the born as well as the unborn. We don't treat already existing lives with the same respect and care and I wish we did.

I've read your blog over the years and have been inspired in many ways by your story. I believe very strongly in my right to make my own informed choice but having said that it most definitely looks like your family has made the right choice for all of you. Congratulations to you for 3 wonderful years!
