IT'S A GO!!!!!

They're getting Tricia ready for surgery! That's ALL we know at this point. There is still always a possibility that they'll get as far as the operating table and not be able to go through with it, but those chance are very slim.

Please be praying for the staff and surgeons as well as the donor family!

Also, be praying for my parents and Tricia's dad and others who are making the drive here right now.

Thanks!!! I'll post more as soon as I know.

I read your blog all the time, but I've never before posted a comment. On Sunday night I thought of all three of you, Tricia, Gwyneth and you, randomly as I was doing other things. When I came to your blog I read your good news. The same thing happened just now. Incredible.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I hope this is the Big Day!

Anne

P. S. I CANNOT BELIEVE how amazingly week your 20ish weeker is progressing. My oldest son has special needs so we know many micropreemies, some from our days in the NICU and some who are now preschoolers. I know many stories I wish I didn't know and I am simply astounded by Gwyneth's fine progress.

Let us all please not forget to pray for the family that just suffered a devastating loss tonight....for without their generosity during such a painful time, Tricia would not be able to have this opportunity tonight. Blessings to all, the donor's family, the surgeons, and of course to Tricia. May everything go smoothly and may Tricia wake up with a new set of lungs tomorrow! Goodbye Ventilator!

Tears of joy for a family I have never met...actually 2 families (the donor family too). I remember the "call" we received like it was yesterday (for our 7 mth. old daughter to receive a new liver...and a new life). Thank God for organ donation...and for the skilled surgeons who we rely on so much. You are in my prayers. I hope this is the perfect set of lungs for Tricia!

If you keep getting more than 200 comments every 20 minutes or so, blogger is going to short circuit! :) Obviously, I'm obsessivly checking here for news and keep seeing more and more people sending their prayers and good wishes.

Add my prayers to the list because they are being sent up constantly and more for y'all than any other people that I've never met before. What a wonderful day and an answer to so many prayers. My thought will be with you both, your family and friends and the donor's family tonight and during the coming days.

Incline your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and needy. Preserve my life, for I am devoted to you; save your servant who trusts in you. You are my God; be gracious to me, O Lord, for to you do I cry all day long. Gladden the soul of your servant, for to you, O Lord, I lift up my soul. For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you. Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; listen to my cry of supplication. In the day of my trouble I call on you, for you will answer me.
