Surgery

I got a call from the OR at 9:15 pm telling me that the surgery was just beginning. So, I won't expect to hear anything until at least 3 or 4 am tomorrow morning.

I may be given little pieces of info throughout the night, and if I do, I'll pass it along to you. I'm sure I'll be up all night, and I"ll be posting some things as the spotty internet at the hospital allows.

My parents just arrived, and Don should be here within the hour.

I've received over 1500 comments and hundreds of emails since I first posted the surgery was a go earlier this evening (which I love and am so thankful for), and I'll do my best to take a look at them all eventually, but that may not happen tonight. So, unless it's incredibly important, please continue commenting and try not to email me until everything has settled down.

Thank you so much for your support right now...it means the world to me and our families!

Nate

tears of joy over here!! our family has been down the transplant road before, we know what you are going through.
So ironic, the first Offer Tricia had was on my son Noah's birthday (March 31st) and now she's getting Transplanted on my Daughter's 1st Birthday! (my daughter had a liver transplant)
We're sending big comforting hugs, and MASSIVE Prayers!! We pray and know the good Lord will guide the Surgical Team. Also we pray for the donor's family! We pray also for a very successful transplant, and great recovery! Praying from South Carolina!!

This is my first time commenting, though I have followed your families journey and prayed for you, for Tricia, for Gwyneth since her birth.

Will continue to lift up Tricia, the surgeons, the donor's family through this evening/morning.

Praising God and rejoicing for Tricia's life with new healthy lungs.

Headed off to bed...and will be praying for you all and your generous donor's family as I fall asleep. These pics of you and Gwenyth are priceless. Happy Birthday, Nate. In a way, you and Tricia now share a birthday... Our God is an Awesome God, and he's right there in that OR taking care of Tricia.

I'm a notorious insomniac, night owl, and all those other cliches, so I will be praying through the night for all of you during this long wait through the night, all means everyone surgeons included-thinking of you all, and remembering the precious gift of the donor family and praying for them as well.

I'm so excited, and can't wait to see all of you together again and headed home!

Burning the midnight oil and praying through the night............and the days ahead and always...........

You're Aunt D called me around 8:30
and told me Tricia was in surgery. We were in Johnson Co. right after my husbands funeral.I said my quick prayer then for Tricia and then the donors family, and got ont the phone to my circle which extends from NC to WVA and Tenn.
As soon as I got home( prayed all the way here)it's now 1:15 am. I turned this thing on to see if you'd updated.
You know Jesus said it any two agree an anything, and ask that he would answer that request......with all the pleas that have been made with love for "Our beautiful Tricia" He's heard those Cries! I"m standing with your familys in prayer!

I'm up at 4am feeding my daughter and praying!! I had to log on right away. I keep thinking about the verse that says "when two or more are gathered in my name..." Imagine how God responds when 10 thousand are gathered in the name of Jesus!

I turned the computer on before work - something I said I wouldn't do, because it distracts me and then I have to run around like a mad woman getting ready to leave! I had to see if there was an update, though! I'll continue to pray!
