(Bump) Like A Virus

This was originally posted in January. I'm still finding new blogs/websites linking to ours nearly every day, and I'm sure I've missed a bunch...THANK YOU so much for sharing our part of God's story with others! No need to ask my permission to link our blog or any of my posts...we appreciate your help in raising awareness about the issues we are passionate about!

Just as many of you are checking in with us several a day, I spend several minutes each week seeking out any and all blogs and websites that mention our story, posting a simple "Thank you!" on every one that allows. The number is in the thousands by now...which I find absolutely amazing...and those are just the ones that I've been able to find.

I'm doing all I can to document and save everything I write and read about this story. Your comments, your emails, your cards and letters and packages.

Now, I'd like to devote this post to asking those of you who have blogged about our story to simply leave a comment with your web/blog address (we'll keep it short and uncluttered). It would mean the world to me, it would mean easy access for when Tricia and others want to read more, and it would mean some serious traffic for you.

If you know of a third party website (like a website chat room) that is talking about us, and do not see it posted yet, feel free to do post. Please, only comment on this post if you have your own link to share, or a third party website link.

Thank you!

Nate

Hi Nate,

I have just started to read your incredible story and want you to know that you, Tricia and Gwyneth are very much in my prayers. During this time I pray that you will really know God's peace and tremendous love for you all

I found out about y'alls story through a blog I check daily where Tricia made a comment to one of the posts here http://thirdday.blogs.com/third_day_weblog/2008/01/--010408---firs.html#comments , you will have to scroll down to see her comment.
After reading y'alls story I posted your blog link here http://www.thirdday.com/boards/showthread.php?t=101120 , to get the word out to the 3D Gomers.

Nathan,
I must tell you how inspriing your journey has been to me. I have been a Christian since the age of 11 but the past few years have been a huge struggle to me and there have been some tragedies occur with my family and I that made me worry, which as a Christian, I know only means that I am doubting the Lord and his will in my life. Many times I have asked why and still never really understood that answer that He continues to give me. I was probably at one of the lowest points in my life as well as my Christian walk when I started reading this blog. Thanks to God, to you and your beautiful family, I am now taking the smallest (but progressive) steps to return to that daily walk with My Lord and Saviour. I check this blog daily and constantly saying a prayer for you and your precious wife and daughter. I have now posted on my blog about your blog as well as Tricia's blog and mentioned the donations that could be made to her trust fund.
Thanks for all that you have done for me and no doubt thousands of others...
You have not, in any way, failed in this journey that the Saviour has sent you on because you have touched a soul that had lost direction on this Christian journey and brought me back on the right path.
The Lord will bless you and your family in the days to come...
Much love and prayer to you, Tricia and that sweet little angel Gwyneth.

Here is a copy of the email I sent to my entire online address book on January 11:

"There is a family in desperate need of prayer. Although they are strangers, this family has been on my heart since I read about their trials. Please join me in praying for our brother and sisters.

Tricia has cystic fibrosis and is in need of a double lung transplant. They had to put the transplant on hold when they found out she was pregnant. Her health deteriorated throughout her pregnancy, and they recently had to deliver her 24-week gestation baby girl. You can read more at this blog:

Your story is definitely making the rounds in the adoption community!!

Nate and Tricia,
Your faith is amazing. I thank you for sharing.
Our lives have also been touched by CF as our cousins have 2 boys with CF. One of whom is my sons best friend as they were born 4 months apart. My son strapping and strong and his friend not quite strapping but so full of life and blessed with an infectious pesonality and the ablity to make all who meet him laugh.
His parents decision 14 years ago was controversial for some however like you I always felt and believed God has a plan for every life he creates and a reason the emotion of love exists. I supported their decision then and still do today as I know my God has a plan for every life.
I continue to pray for your entire family and pray many come to hear and know your story.
Our cousins older son has received his lungs over 3 years ago and we keep his donor family in our prayers for the gift of life they granted through donation.
As a Nursing Administrative Supervisor one of my responsibilities is notification of the Organ Donor Network when we have a patient who meets criterior for notification. Each time I place that call, because of my cousins son and stories like yours I feel honored and blessed to play a small part in Gods miracles. When I am on duty prayer begins immediately for both the dying and the living. I hope this thought brings you both comfort.

Your girls are so blessed to have you in their lives! What an honor to get to read about these beautiful girls and pray for your whole family and the amazing doctors working with you all. Thank you for your honesty and indescribable love for your girls!
