11.11

Today is Veterans Day.

To all our Vets, thank you for your service to our country.

If you can, at 11am, take a moment to pause and be thankful.

Nate

Thank you. That really means a lot to us vets. It's nice to see (and hear) that people appreciate what the troops are doing and the sacrifices we have all made.

Thanks for the reminder. I can't even imagine that life for those serving or their families.

It's easy to take for granted the freedoms we have here in the United States. On the way to church this past Sunday it hit me when I passed multiple churches with full parking lots how blessed we are in this country to be able openly worship the King of Kings.
I will include my kids this year in a prayer for our troops and for the veterans who have fought for our freedoms.

I don't comment very often, but have been following your story since you announced Tricia's pregnancy.

Praying for you in Minnesota...

We had a one minute silence at church on Sunday and then earlier today we had a two minutes silence here at work.

Thank you Nate for reminding those of us who might have missed it.

Thank you to both of my Grandpas, my Father-in-Law and most of all...my Dad. He served the US Army proud, working with abandoned children in Korean orphanages. I know he treated those children with the same gentleness and care he showed me, his only child. It was a HUGE sacrifice, that he did not ask for. (Drafted for Vietnam & ended up in Korea at the last second) I miss you Dad.

Prayer for Veterans Day

We ask for blessings on all those who have served their country in the armed forces. We ask for healing for the veterans who have been wounded, in body and soul, in conflicts around the globe. We pray especially for the young men and women, in the thousands, who are coming home from Iraq with injured bodies and traumatized spirits. Bring solace to them, O Lord; may we pray for them when they cannot pray.

We ask for an end to wars and the dawning of a new era of peace,
As a way to honor all the veterans of past wars.

Have mercy on all our veterans from World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq. Bring peace to their hearts and peace to the regions they fought in. Bless all the soldiers who served in non-combative posts;
May their calling to service continue in their lives in many positive ways.

Give us all the creative vision to see a world which, grown weary with fighting, moves to affirming the life of every human being and so moves beyond war. Hear our prayer, O Prince of Peace, hear our prayer.

Absolutely! Where would we be today if it wasn't for all the men and women that served for our country. THANK YOU!

Prayers to all of you and all your families!
