Another Quick Update

Still no news from Duke.

Got word today that the house closing (which was scheduled for Friday/tomorrow at noon) has been pushed back to Monday. We're guessing we'll be in Durham next week, so we're hoping that it does happen on Monday, or else it may not happen for another week or more.

Should we be nervous?

Nate

Oh Nate,

Now I love this picture big time.!!! And no, don't worry about a thing because God has it all under control. I am praying for Tricia's biopsy results to deliver good news. He is still on the Throne:) And doing miracles too!!

Love you guys, Laurie in Ca.

Love the picture, Nate. You seem very "I'm scared!" while Gwyneth seems very "meh, my hand doesn't taste too bad"...hahaha

We continue in prayer for you all! Knowing that the house will close exactly when it is supposed to! Please pray for baby Micah Clack, he is 1 year old and fell from a window today. He is on life support and in ICU in a Chicago area hospital. He is the son of my daughter and son-in-law's best friends! We need a miracle!
Thank you!

Hopefully there is no reason to be nervous but there is definitely no reason to be eating your hands, fingers or nails...

Continuing to pray...

Hey Nate,
I feel you pain...prior to staying home with Brendon I sold new home construction and worked in the mortgage industry for 11 years. My friends still in the mortgage industry say it's crazier than the stock market right now..trying to get stuff underwritten and closed.
Because of how the mortgages are divided out (conventional loans)once the loan is sold....they mortgage industry truly has ZERO way right now to determine what, in fact, was the source of their forclosures......was it their 10% down buyers, their 80/20 people, their zero down, their arms, etc. They seriously have no clue! SO, the regulations coming down make zero sense and are only designed to hold on to their cash. For example, a buyer right now with 20% down payment has been taking a rate hit over a buyer with 5% down....because private mortgage insurance end up covering more in a loss for the lender.....YET common sense would tell you that the buyer with more $$ down is the lower credit risk! It's crazy right now. So hang in there.....stuff changes daily.

That may not be the source of your delay, but I recall you mentioning loan underwriters either on here or facebook and wanted to commiserate.

Hang in there and I am praying for a good outcome in your closing and Tricia's next course of treatment.

It always takes longer than they say it will. We just bought a repo and are moving into it now. We're half moved in, half still at the old house!

It will be fine.... but I was pretty nervous waiting for the the final stuff to be done too.

Don't be nervous Nate. Whatever happens with your house won't surprise God, and he definitely has ya'll in his hands. Do, however, be excited because he has great things in store for you!
