On Saturday evening, Gabby got the call that her grandmother in FL was at the hospital and may only have 24 hours to live. Later that night, she received another call that her grandmother had passed away. Gabby and her family will be flying down to FL over the next few days to be with her grandfather and celebrate and mourn the life and death of her grandmother.
I know that this woman meant much to Gabby...she even wore her wedding dress (circa 1930's) at her own wedding a few years ago. Please, join me in prayer over the next few days, especially, for the Herndon family. Gabby is like family, and I know Tricia would appreciate it incredibly.
Tricia and Gabby
Gabby and Gwyneth
Thanks.

Hi I just wanted to comment and let you know that I'm reading and praying also. I am Gabby's (Or Gabrielle as we call her) sister-in-law and our whole family is praying for all of this. Thanks for blogging asking for prayers for Gabrielle too!
Prayers and well wishes being sent to Gabby and her family at this difficult time!
I came upon your blog when I was searching for information about preemies. My son was born at 24 weeks but unfortunately passed away in September. I pray that Tricia and your precious little baby make a full recovery.

Gabby, I also have a "lifelong friend." There is nothing like it. Tricia is very fortunate to have you as her "lifelong friend." Prayers to you and your family as you say goodbye to your grandma.
Gabby and her family are certainly in our prayers. You and your family are also in our prayers. Praise the Lord that Tricia and Gwyneth are doing so well today!
Sorry to hear that news about Gabby's grandmother. I'll be praying for them.
Praying for Gabby's family.
I found a computer for a few minutes and got the update. We'll add Gabby to the prayer list that is growing. We are lifting you all up throughout the day.

I stop by frequently and wanted to let you all know I am praying for Gabby and her family and as well as yours, congratulationso n your little sweetheart.
Nate,Gabby is how we learned of you. Her husband is our minister's grandson. We have been praying for Tricia for many weeks now and will add Gabby and family to our list. People are praying everywhere in the world because of you, Nate. Reminds me of the lyrics from Wayne Watson:
Trouble knockin' on your window pane,
Stormy weather at your door.
And the outlook for the day like the day before.
People tell you prayin' changes things,
But the words don't stop the fear.
The prayer is only pious repelling without a Father's ear.
He will not turn away when His people pray.
When God's people pray,
and take the pains of earth to the doors of heaven.
When God's people pray,
there is hope reborn, there is sin forgiven.
And merely 'cos you can't explain a way.
When God' people pray...
Hopeless situation turns around, dilemma passes by and by.
Look, there's a never-ending field of blue!,
past your clouded sky.
He alone can know the need in me before a single word begins;
The Holy Spirit intercedes for me.
I will trust in Him!
No, He will not turn away when His people pray.
Nate, From what you've told us of your dear wife, I bet it would be easy to be her friend. I, too, am glad that she has Gabby in her life. All of us need a Gabby. Keep on keeping on, Nate! Your girls are lucky to have you in their lives.
Gabby, you and your family are in my prayers.
Tricia is so fortunate to have a friend like Gabby. (I'm jealous!) Gabby is very beautiful, by the way, and has a glowing smile like Tricia's. I'm sure it meant a lot to her to be with Tricia and see Gwyneth for a few days.
I'm sorry about her grandmother and will pray for her and her family. Debbi (Aspiemom)
We will hold Gabby and her family in prayer. As well as Tricia and Gwyneth!!!
Just wanted to offer some encouragement. My son was born on January 17th 2004. He was 25 weeks and 2 days old. He was challenged with the following during his NICU stay: pulmonarry hemorrage, esotropia stage 1, bilateral hernias, BPD/CLD requiring oxygen until he was almost a year old, severe apnea issues requiring monitors until he was almost 18 months old, a bilateral intraventricular hemorrage (grade 2 left, grade 4 right) and a PVL diagnosis. Those first 18 months we were so scared for him. He was in PT, OT, ST, FT, and VT until he was 3 years old and eventually was given a CP diagnosis as well as SPD (sensory processing disorder). But the awesome news is, if you were to see him today, (he will be four this week), you would NEVER know any of this. He is monitor, medicine and therapy free. God has allowed him to mature through these challenges in such an incredible way that few people (short of close family and friends and his Dr.s) would ever realize the traumatic circumstances of his birth. I realize this is not always the case but when I was in a NICU with my little Ty for 83 days, I longed for someone to give hope to me. I have details from his first 83 days on his blog if it helps. Praying for both of your girls. Doni

My gosh these friends even look alike! I'm glad she has such a true friend besides you, of course!
