TX Update (2:25am)

I just received a second phone call (2:09am) from the transplant coordinator. The lungs are "no good". That is all I know.

We're are going to try and get some sleep now and look forward to a good day tomorrow. It's been amazing to see the support tonight, especially the huge number of people who came out of the woodwork to comment for the very first time. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts, and for those of you who mentioned us on your own blogs over the past few hours.

We are humbled by the sincere care and support of so many who may never even meet us on this earth.

Please, continue to pray for the donor's family, as they may still be grieving. We hope that the lungs and/or other organs were good for somebody out there...

Nate

Oh crikey - only logged on for the first time in a couple of days. What a whirlwind time you've had. Sending you all lots of love and at least now you've had a dry run. That can only mean one thing - next time it's for REAL! Hoping and praying that it is anyway.

Take care y'all,

Sarah from Kent in England x

I know that those right pairs are out there for your Tricia. Don't let this get you down. God is just searching for the perfect pair for you, and you'll get them. :)

Just found out the lungs were not a match. I guess I went to bed right before this post. I know you are disappointed, and you also know God knows best. The best matched pair of lungs is just around the corner. Love and many prayers from Rome, GA.

Let us remember always and in all things...God's timing is alway PERFECT! My mom has told me this for years, and it took me to the tender age of 38 to see it clearly!

I'm so sorry. It's such a disappointment. I hope somebody else could use the lungs to get well. It's too bad they can't use a living donor and just take 1 lung. People can live with just 1 lung right? Anyway I'm praying that the perfect match comes soon.

This is my first time commenting here...we've been with you from the beginning (friend of a friend mentioned the blog......you know the story by now...). Your blog esp. caught my attention because my own baby was born right about the same time as sweet Gwyneth. He's full-term, but I have been riding the wave of parent-love right along with you folks.

I feel for you in this disappointment. Our family will keep praying. Every night.

Praying that God soon turns your disappointment to Joy. Praying that very soon you will get another call that they have found the perfect set of lungs or Tricia. Praying with you for the family of this person that was kind and generous enough to offer the gift of life to someone in need. Praying for others that may have or even now are receiving organs from this donor. Praying for others that are waiting with Tricia for a second chance at life. Hugs and prayers for you and your precious family. May you continue to feel God's loving presence surrounding you on this amazing and crazy journey you all are on. May you rest in peace trusting His timing and plans for your family.

Since you posted this, you've had at least one comment every hour since 2am.

I suggest that we all pray at 7pm. 7 pm no matter where you are stop for a moment and pray for Tricia, Nate and baby Gwyneth. Also for the donor's family.

Disappointing, But still in God's hands. We prayed last night that God would make sure it was the "perfect" pair for Tricia and that all would work out. And it will work out - We just know it!!

We prayed for you today in our Bible study. I will continue to pray for you and can't wait until the new lungs are a match. We will of course be praying for the other families and for your little sweetheart. God is good all the time, as you know!!

Tricia :)

It speaks volumes to your -- and Tricia's -- character that you choose to respectfully acknowledge the pain the potential donor's family is likely feeling instead of dwelling on your own disappointment, even though I can only guess that you must be terribly disappointed.

I remember that you once wrote that "dry runs" are just part of the process. I hope that next time you get the call it's for Tricia's new lungs and not another dry run.

I haven't checked in for awhile, but as your page was loading, I just had a feelling that you were going to have big news. I'm sorry the lungs didn't work out, but hopefully they will work for someone else and Tricia's are coming soon. God bless.
