Raw

That's the best word to describe me right now. Nerves, emotions, thoughts and feelings..you can see it in my eyes...

37 hours since we first received word of Tricia's lungs. 12 hours duration between saying goodbye and saying hello. 1 hour of sleep.

Pure Joy. Intense Frustration. Sincere Thankfulness. Exhausted Relief.

I'll sleep well tonight, and I pray Tricia does the same. Tomorrow begins a new chapter in our story. We pray that it is the best yet. Thank you for helping to write it with us.

Nate

My emotions when I first logged on this morning and saw your eyes were "oh no"-something bad happened. Then I read and realized, no, something WONDERFUL has happened. It's so interesting and amazing how tears of joys can flow with the tears of sadness and frustration. My prayers, thankfullness, faithfulness continue to be with you and your family. Sending love from Lancaster, Pa.

Praying for some calm this morning. For good news. For growth. For strength.

I pray for no infection, no rejection and seamless pain control -- not too much medicine that she can't wake, but not too little that she hurts more than necessary.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry...or both. So I'll just pray.

Hoping and praying that you were able to get some much-needed sleep last night. Day after day, I turn here for updates, and the song that immediately comes to mind, especially after this post, is Steven Curtis Chapman's "Go There With You"... the perfect song of the love of a spouse... of which you are a shining example. Tricia is so blessed to have your as her husband.

Go There With You...

I know you've heard me say these words before
But every time I say I love you, the words mean something more
I spoke them as a promise right from the start
I said death would be the only thing that could tear us apart
And now that you are standing on the edge of the unknown
I love you means I'll be with you wherever you must go

Chorus
I will take a heart whose nature is to beat for me alone
And fill it up with you, make all your joy and pain my own
No matter how deep a valley you go through
I will go there with you
And I will give myself to love the way Love gave itself for me
And climb with you to mountain tops or swim a raging sea
To the place where one heart is made from two
I will go there with you

I see it in your tears, you wonder where you are
The wind is growing colder, and the sky is growing dark
Though its something neither of us understands
We can walk through this together if we hold each other's hand
I said for better or for worse I'd be with you
So no matter where you're going, I will go there too

I will take a heart whose nature is to beat for me alone
And fill it up with you, make all your joy and pain my own
No matter how deep a valley you go through
I will go there with you

I know sometimes I let you down
But I won't let you go, we'll always be together..."
